The buzz word "Rock Starz" is being heard in nail salons across the nation. As a result, nail artists are pounding on the door of Melissa Garcia, international educator and a senior mentor of Young Nails, who teach others this unique technique she calls Rock Starz.

Melissa Garcia is the owner/operator of Rock Starz Nail Supply, a Distributor for Young Nails products. She has over 18 years of experience as a nail tech and is known for her creative designs and nail shapes. She is currently a Senior Mentor and International Educator for Young Nails. She feels fortunate for the opportunity to help other nail techs achieve their goals. The classes she teaches include advanced drill techniques, creative and innovative design, and reverse application to increase speed and create a flawless smile line. Before becoming an educator she had a successful business as a nail tech with a large clientele. Her designs are inspired by fashion, color, shape, etc. She finds inspiration everywhere. She credits her success with her passion for the profession.

The December issue of “Nails” magazine, featured her Rock Starz nails on the cover and included a story on the technique, which involves embedding mylar and confetti into nails using acrylic and gel to create a long-lasting, three-dimensional, stained glass effect.
